Creating Tests and Test Series

Build a question bank, create individual tests or full test series, and conduct online or offline exams.

The test creation system in EasyPrep is designed to be flexible enough for quick quizzes and comprehensive enough for full-length mock exams.

Building a Question Bank

Before creating tests, populate your question bank:

  1. Go to Question Bank → Add Questions.
  2. Choose the question type: Multiple Choice (MCQ), Multiple Select, Numerical, or Subjective.
  3. Tag each question with subject, topic, and difficulty level.
  4. Add explanations for each answer — students see these after submitting.

You can also bulk-import questions from a spreadsheet using our CSV import template.

Creating a Test

  1. Navigate to Tests → Create Test.
  2. Give the test a name and set the duration.
  3. Pick questions from your question bank manually, or let the system auto-generate a paper based on topics and difficulty.
  4. Configure marking scheme — positive marks, negative marks (if any).

Test Series

Group related tests into a test series for structured practice:

  • Weekly test series — one test per week for an entire semester.
  • Topic-wise series — test by test covering the full syllabus.
  • Mock exam series — simulate the real exam pattern.

Exam Modes

Online Mock Test

Students take the test on their device with a timer. Results are auto-graded and shown immediately along with explanations.

Proper Online Exam

Conduct a supervised exam with:

  • Fixed start and end time.
  • Auto-submission when time runs out.
  • Navigation restrictions.

Offline Test with Online Assessment

For situations where students appear for a pen-and-paper exam:

  1. Print the question paper from EasyPrep.
  2. Students write the exam offline.
  3. Enter or scan responses online.
  4. The system grades the result and generates the analytics report.

Performance Analytics

After every test, both students and teachers get detailed analytics:

  • Overall score and percentile.
  • Subject-wise and topic-wise breakdown.
  • Time spent per question.
  • Comparison with batch average.
